Janyce Erlich-Moss is a mixed media artist who explores innovative ways of seeing and presentation through painting and the photographic media. The most recent one-person exhibit of her series, “The Earth is Your Mother", was at the First Independent Gallery in Santa Monica, California. Work from that series was also shown at the Kaaterskill Gallery, Catskill Mountain Foundation. Past venues for one-person exhibitions of her work include The Carnegie Museum of Natural History (Pittsburgh, PA.), ibiCASA in Ibiza, Spain and the Southern Alleghenies Museums of Art (Altoona and Johnstown, PA.). Her other one-person exhibits have included the Studio Gallery (Washington, D.C.), The National Institutes of Health (Bethesda, MD.), Manchester Craftsman’s Guild (Pittsburgh, PA.) and LA ArtCore Gallery in Los Angeles. Her work has been included in invitational exhibitions at the Carnegie Museum of Art, the Maine Photographic Resources Workshops. She has work in the collections of The Polaroid Collection, Equitable Resources, Centimark Corporation, Blue Cross/Blue Shield of Western Pa., Jewish Association on Aging, University of Pittsburgh (donated by Consolidated Natural Gas Co. Foundation), and Indiana Hospital (donated by the New Growth Arts Festival). Her most recent Group Exhibitions and Awards have been with Ashton Gallery in San Diego California.
Janyce earned a BA in Art at California State University, Northridge, California (1972) and a MFA in Photography at George Washington University in Washington, D.C. (1985).
